Chastain and Tootsie’s to Run CRA Late Model Race at Nashville Fairgrounds

Trackhouse-driver and Nashville-based Tootsie’s partner with Rackley W.A.R. to compete in grassroots race at the historic racetrack

CONCORD, North Carolina – Trackhouse Racing announced today that NASCAR Cup Series driver Ross Chastain will pilot the No. 1 Tootsie’s Chevrolet for Rackley W.A.R. at the historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on June 27.
Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, a longtime partner of Trackhouse Racing, will serve as primary sponsor. Famous for their purple branding and Lower Broadway bar, the one-day show at the track is just miles from downtown.
Chastain will be in Nashville as part of the NASCAR weekend at Nashville Superspeedway when he will drive the No. 1 Busch Light Chevrolet on June 30.
“The partnership between Tootsies and Trackhouse continues to develop and bring exciting experiences to race fans,” said Trackhouse team owner Justin Marks. “Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is a Nashville icon, just like Tootsies. As always, we’re humbled by Steve Smith’s commitment to and support of our team and drivers. I know we’re all looking forward to watching Ross race and hopefully win so we can celebrate at one of the greatest Nashville entertainment destinations Thursday night.”
The race at the half-mile Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway will be the second event for Chastain and Rackley W.A.R. in the CRA Pro Late Model division. Owned by Nashville-based entrepreneur Curtis Sutton and former driver Willie Allen, Rackley W.A.R. is a premier Chevy-backed grassroots racing team in the country. In their last outing together, Chastain finished second in the No. 25 Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Protect Your Melon entry in Cordele, GA.
“First off, the NASCAR race weekend in Nashville is one of my favorite events of the year. The city and state are great supporters of racing, so to add a grassroots race at this historic venue one day early was a no brainer. Hopefully, we can light up the track just like the iconic Tootsie’s purple lights up Broadway,” Chastain said.
“Secondly, thanks to Trackhouse Racing for letting me compete and to Curtis, Willie and everyone at Rackley WAR for letting an outsider hop in. I can’t wait for this race to begin!”
The late model race at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is hosted by Track Enterprises, the premier grassroots short track promoter in the country. The Battle of Broadway 150 will pit the stars of the CRA Pro Late Model Series against each other and the famous track located merely minutes outside of downtown.

About Trackhouse Racing
After retiring from a driving career in NASCAR and sports cars, Justin Marks formed Trackhouse Entertainment Group in 2020 to create a racing brand that transcends sport. Marks formed Trackhouse Racing which took to the track in 2021 with Daniel Suárez behind the wheel. The team announced a partnership with international superstar entertainer Pitbull who has been a frequent guest at NASCAR races and elevated Trackhouse’s presence through inclusion in several of his songs, music videos and named his current album “Trackhouse.” Midway through the 2021 season, Trackhouse Racing purchased the NASCAR assets of Chip Ganassi Racing and began the 2022 season as its own two-car team with Suárez and Ross Chastain as drivers. Chastain gave the organization its first victory at Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas in March and won again at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in April. Suárez became the first Mexican (Monterrey) driver to win a Cup race when he won at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway in June. In 2023, Chastain won the Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway race and season-ending race in Phoenix Raceway while New Zealander Shane van Gisbergen won the inaugural Chicago Street race in July driving for Trackhouse’s PROJECT91 program Marks created to offer NASCAR opportunities to international driving stars. In 2024, Suárez earned his second and Trackhouse’s seventh Cup Series victory in February when he won in a dramatic three-wide finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Trackhouse Entertainment Group operates out of Nashville, Tenn. while the race shop is in Concord, North Carolina. Trackhouse Racing joined the MotoGP grid in 2024, bringing an American team back to the pinnacle of motorcycle racing for the first time in over a decade. With riders Miguel Oliviera and Raul Fernandez, Trackhouse Racing MotoGP is determined to be a competitive force on and off the track in partnership with Aprilia as its official factory-supported team.
