TRT) BEING ONLY 15 YEARS OLD, DO YOU FEEL LIKE SOME OF THE DRIVERS, DRIVE YOU DIFFERENT?

CARSON LOFTIN “No, coming into the Smart Tour being “the young gun” i definitely have to earn respect from my competitors and i feel like i’ve done a pretty good job at that, i’ve been around modifieds my whole life being my father is Brian Loftin.”

(TRT WHO IS CARSON THE PERSON? THE DRIVER?

CARSON LOFTIN  I” am a 15 year old high school student in clemmons North Carolina” 

(TRT) WHAT IS YOU’RE  FAVORITE TRACK? WHY?

CARSON LOFTIN “My favorite racetrack would probably have to be Florence Motor  Speedway, Florence is a racey racetrack with tons of room to move around and it’s very abrasive on your tires so you have to be gentle on the throttle to have enough tire at the end to have a shot at a win”.

(TRT) DO YOU HAVE A RIVALRY GOING AGAINST YOUR DAD?

CARSON LOFTIN “Yes! me and my dad go back and forth all the time, we both try to one up each other i think it actually pushes us both to be better to have that bragging right going into the next week. But my dad has been my day 1 since i was born, me and him have done everything together if it wasn’t for him i wouldn’t be half the man/driver I’m”r

(TRT) WHAT TRACK WOULD YOU LIKE TO RACE ON IN A MODIFIED?

CARSON LOFTIN “If i had a choice to race anywhere in a modified it would probably have to be Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, that place is a super fast racetrack, it has a lot of grip and is very big, and also has a lot of banking”

(TRT) DO YOU LIKE TIME TRIALS OR HEATS, TO GET IN A FEATURE?

CARSON LOFTON “I like time trials, it’s the one time in the day we’re you go out on the track by yourself with 4 brand new tires andgo as hard as you can to lay down a blistering lap”

(TRT) BEING ONLY 15, AS A DRIVER, WHAT DO YOU THINK 

 YOU NEED WORK ON?

CARSON LOFTIN “Definitely my racecraft, being 15 i’m definitely 

unexperienced compared to most of the guys in racing against and it shows at times but that’s part of being a rookie and learning, every time i strap in a race car i try to learn as much as I can”

(TRT) WHERE DO YOU WANT TO  BE RACING  WHEN YOUR 20 YEARS OLD?

CARSON LOFTIN “Wherever our Lord and Savior decides, Im happy where I’m at but the ultimate goal is to make it to the next level being nascar, I’m  going to work as hard as I can to get there”

(TRT) DO YOU WANT TO RUN TRUCKS OR XFINITY IN THE FUTURE?

CARSON LOFTIN “ Wherever our Lord and Savior decides, I’m  happy where I’m  at but the ultimate goal is to make it to the next level being NASCAR, i’m going to work as hard as i can to get there”

HOW COMPETITIVE IS THE SMART TOUR?

CARSON LOFTIN “The smart modified tour is very competitive, probably the most competitive a southern modified tour has been in a very long time, there is 12-15 cars that can win on a weekly basis, and it’s alot of fun to race against these guys because they race with respect, Chris Williams and his guys have done a fantastic job reviving southern modified racing!”

CARSON LOFTON “Apple without a doubt, i think apple has a better camera for 1 and i know what controls do what as where a android I would have to relearn lol”
