(TRT)     (1)  HOW IS YOUR SEASON GOING FOR YOU TO DATE?    WHAT CAN YOU APPROVE ON?

 Katie Hettinger “It’s been a good season so far. Still getting comfortable in the car and working with the team. I’m currently racing my Pro Late Model for Anthony Campi Racing and I’m also running a micro for Carber Racing which has been a lot of fun! Biggest thing I can improve on right now is my restarts in the pro and being more aggressive right away in the micro”

(TRT)     (2)  DESCRIBE TO THE FANS WHO YOU  ARE AS A PERSON?    A DRIVER?

Katie Hettinger “I am a big outdoors person and so I always love being outside whether it’s fishing, hunting, working with cattle, or just being outside with my family. Both as a person and a driver I am very competitive in everything I do. I always wanna win but I also know that even when I don’t win I always learn.”

(TRT)     (3)  BEING A FEMALE IN THE SERIES, HOW DO THE MALE DRIVERS  DRIVE YOU?

 Katie Hettinger “I mostly get a decent amount of respect from the guys I race against. They know that I will race them how they race me”.

(TRT)     (4) YOUR FAVORITE  TRACK? 

Katie Hettinger  “My favorite track is Anderson Speedway in Indiana”

(TRT)      (5) HOW COMPETITIVE IS THE CARS TOUR TO YOU?

 Katie Hettinger “I believe that the CARS Tour Series is some of the hardest racing there is, whether you’re in the pro or the late model stock! There’s a good car count, the drivers race hard all race long, qualifying is always tight, and it’s good hard short track racing.”

(TRT)      (6)  WOULD YOU RATHER RUN) TIME TRIALS OR HEATS, YO GETVINTO THE FEATURE?

 Katie Hettinger “I definitely prefer time trials, that is what we do in most of the late model races I run.”

(TRT)    (7)  ONE THING YOU LIKE THE FANS TO KNOW ABOUT KATIE HETTINGER , THAT THEY MIGHT NOT KNOW?

 Katie Hettinger “I am a third generation racer and so I grew up going to my dads races. I went to my first race when I was about a month old! I also LOVE show cattle and I showed a heifer at Michigan’s 2022 State Fair.” 

(TRT)     (8)  IS THERE A CRAFTMAN TRUCK SERIES  OR XFINITY SERIES RIDE IN THE FUTURE FOR KATIE HETTINGER?

Katie Hettinger  “I  would love the opportunity to drive Jr. Motorsports xfinity car and a Kyle Busch Motorsports truck one day!”

 (TRT)      (9) HOW HARD IS IT TO STAY FOCUSED DRIVING, WITH SO MUCH HAPPENING AROUND YOU?

 Katie Hettinger “I usually am able to stay pretty focused while racing because I have my spottor in my ear always telling me something and especially if I’m passing cars I’m focused on that. There definitely is a lot going on though!”

(TRT)     (10) THE CARS TOR JUST ADDED THE CONE RULE, HOWS BEEN THE RACING WITH IT? 

Katie Hettinger “We just had our first race at Hickory with the cone rule and I really liked it. I like the cone rule because it helps where if I have a tight car I can go to the bottom so it’s easier for me to make passes and not get stuck on the outside.”

(TRT)     (11)  DO YOU  AGREE THAT DIRT DRIVERS HAVE A SLIGHT ADVANTAGE OVER  ASPHALT DRIVERS?

Katie Hettinger “I think there is a small advantage of driving dirt. Dirt drivers usually are better at driving a loose race car and they also are veryaggressive. In dirt the races are short and so you always have to be up on the wheel. I am running a micro this year at Millbridge” Speedway and I think it will help me be more aggressive on my restarts!
