NORTH STATE MODIFIEDS OPEN 2023 AT SHASTA SPEEDWAY
The North State Modified series will lead off its 10th season at Shasta Speedway Saturday night, May 6. Shasta Speedway is located at the Shasta County Fairgrounds in Anderson, California.
The program will consist of the O’Reilly Auto Parts qualifying, the Sunoco Dash for Cash and the 60 lap main event.
The 60 lap feature, which pays $1000 to win and $200 to start, is sponsored by Twyman Plumbing. The trophies are courtesy of Mark Baldwin, district manager of the O’Reilly stores. The NSMS drivers will also compete in qualifying runs as well as a 6 lap Sunoco Dash for Cash. Darrin Sullivan of Kelseyville was the feature winner of this event one year ago.
Friday, May 5, the track will be open for practice for the modifieds from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Pit gates open at 11:00 am on Saturday with hot laps at 3:00 pm and racing scheduled for 7:00 pm.
Joining the modifieds for opening night will be the Shasta Hornets, Legends Cars and Bombers.
The North State Modified Series would not be possible without the support of Hoosier Tire West, Sunoco Race Fuels, Anderson Logging, Naake Suspension, Racer Bling, Mark & Sharon Baldwin, Scribner Plastics, McMurray & Sons Roofing, Frank’s Radios and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts.
