TORRENCE AGAIN BATTLING BRISTOL

TORRENCE READY TO FLIP THE SCRIPT

Track Record-Holder Aims to End Long Winless Streak at Thunder  Valley

BRISTOL, Tenn. – There’s a mythical Statute of Limitations that’s  about to run out on Steve Torrence’s lone victory in the Super Grip Thunder Valley Nationals and, before that happens, the 42-year-old Texan wants to flip the script and make his CAPCO Contractors Top Fuel Toyota relevant once again.

Since he celebrated his only win at Bristol Dragway, Torrence has won 51 times on other tracks in the Mission Food Series.  Moreover  in the interim, he won four series titles and made drag racing history by becoming the only driver to sweep the events in the  NHRA’s Countdown to the Championship (2018).

Four-time Top Fuel World Champion Steve Torrence, left, shares a moment with Tennessee favorite son Clay Millican.  The two will be among the contenders this weekend in the 23rd Super Grip Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol, Tenn.
