Wright Motorsports Reinvigorated for Road America SportsCar Grand Prix

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (July 29, 2025) โ€“ With the second half of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season well underway, Wright Motorsports heads to Wisconsin for the Motul SportsCar Grand Prix at Road America. Piloting the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R, Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer are eager to rebound from recent races to deliver a strong result at one of North Americaโ€™s most iconic road courses.

Despite flashes of speed and performance throughout the summer stretch, the team has been plagued by bad luck, preventing them from converting pace into podiums. This weekend, Adelson and Skeer return to the 4.048-mile, 14-turn circuit with a renewed sense of focus and determination.

Known for its high-speed straights, sweeping corners, delicious concessions, and passionate fanbase, Road America is an obvious favorite for drivers and fans alike. Though the track may not be the best suited for the package of the Porsche, the team has been putting in extensive work and private testing to make the most of the upcoming race weekend. With years of competition on the Wisconsin staple, the team feels well prepared to take on the challenge. All four classes reunite, with 49 entries slated to compete in the event.

The action begins Friday afternoon with the first practice session, followed by a second practice and GTD qualifying on Saturday. Fans on-site can meet the team during Saturdayโ€™s autograph session at the garage and Sundayโ€™s Open Grid Fan Walk before the green flag drops at 1:10 PM CT. The two-hour, 40-minute sprint will air live on Peacock domestically and IMSAโ€™s YouTube channel internationally.

DRIVER QUOTES

Adam Adelson

It’s hard to ignore that the past few races have been particularly difficult for us at Wright Motorsports. We’ve been performing well, but that hasn’t converted into good race results. I’m looking at Road America as an opportunity for us to turn that around. We’ve been working exceptionally hard behind the scenes to analyze our performances this year, and how to maximize them moving forward to bring home some more hardware. Road America wasn’t kind to us last year too, so I’m feeling extra hungry for redemption. I’m super excited to get back on the track, and I know the whole team is motivated more than ever.

Elliott Skeer

Road Americaโ€™s been a mixed bag of highs and lows for both Porsche and for us at Wright Motorsports. Hoping that we can turn this summer swing into a positive ending, sure know weโ€™ll do what we can to make it so!
