TOUR-TYPE MODIFIEDS TO RETURN TO CLAREMONT MOTORSPORTS PARK IN 2027
CLAREMONT, N.H. — September 21, 2026 — Claremont Motorsports Park announced Monday that the Tour-Type Modifieds will return to the historic third-mile oval for the 2027 racing season.
The Tour-Type Modifieds are expected to compete in an eight- to twelve-race series on a semi-regular basis. The complete schedule and purse structure will be announced after the region’s major touring schedules have been finalized.
“Claremont Motorsports Park has always been a Modified track,” Track General Manager Mike Parks stated. “After much deliberation, we feel the timing is right for the Tour-Type Modifieds to return.”
“We will wait until the touring schedules are released before finalizing our Modified schedule,” Parks explained. “We will not conflict with any Modified Racing Series events or the open Modified events held by our neighbors at Monadnock Speedway. We ask everyone to bear with us as we carefully build the schedule.”
The Tour-Type Modified events are expected to feature 50-lap races, with additional event and purse details to be announced.
The Modifieds will compete under the NASCAR banner as Claremont Motorsports Park’s NASCAR Division I class. This designation will allow eligible competitors to race for NASCAR Northeast Region and national championship points, along with available national point-fund awards.
“Our spectators have been asking for the Tour-Type Modifieds to return for the past three years,” Parks added. “The timing wasn’t right before, but we feel it is now. We’re excited to welcome them back and begin building a strong program for the 2027 season.”
The complete 2027 Tour-Type Modified schedule will be announced once regional touring and open competition schedules have been finalized.
Claremont Motorsports Park looks forward to welcoming the Tour-Type Modifieds back to the track in 2027.
