March 6, 2026, was the kickoff for the 75th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. Leading opening day qualifying was:
FUNNY CAR: Ron Capps who sits in the provisional #1 spot with a3.890 second run.
TOP FUEL: In his first race with John Force Racing and in front of his hometown fans Josh Hart took the provisional number one spot by setting a new track record of 3.658 second pass at 340.30 mph. The fastest ET in Gainesville history.
PRO STOCK: Cody Coughlin leads the Pro Stock field with a 6.523 second pass.
PRO STOCK MOTORCYCLE: Angie Smith leads qualifying with a 6.740 second run at 199.58 mph.
