Barre, VT — Thunder Road officials announced on Friday that Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre has signed on to support the rk Miles Street Stocks with the popular Hard Charger program through 2026. The Hard Charger program gives a $50 cash bonus to the driver that most improved their position by the end of that week’s feature event.
A decades long member of the Barre community, Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home provides the professionalism, expertise and organization to provide after death services to people of all faiths, needs and wishes. The folks at Pruneau-Polli pride themselves in working directly with people to design healing experiences for families to find closure, peace and togetherness in the celebration of life. Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home is there at every step of the journey to ensure families are educated and prepared for the inevitable.
The rk Miles Street Stocks have ballooned to average over thirty-cars per event the last two seasons at the Nation’s Site of Excitement. The region’s top four-cylinder division sees a lot of comers and goers in each week’s 25-lap feature, making the $50 Pruneau-Polli Hard Charger Award that much more coveted! Dean Switser Jr. carried the high water mark last season by finishing an impressive 20 positions higher than his original starting spot on Community College of Vermont night last June!
The 2024 season hits its stride on Saturday, May 4 with the annual Car Show at Thunder Road with free admission for the general public from 9:00am to 12:00pm, followed by the 26th annual Community Bank 150 for the American-Canadian Tour on Sunday, May 5. Track championship action for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and rk Miles Street Stocks begins alongside the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors for an explosive start to year 65 at the Nation’s Site of Excitement!
