RACE OF CHAMPIONS ADDS MODIFIED RACING SERIES TO “PUNCH YOUR TICKET TO THOMPSON” QUALIFIER PROGRAM

– Joins Monaco Modified Series Events as Qualifiers for the 2025 Race of Champions 150 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park –

Elma, NY – (June 2025) – A long-standing tradition within the Race of Champions Modified Series returns in 2025 with the revitalized “Punch Your Ticket to Thompson” program. Race of Champions management is proud to expand this exciting initiative to now include the Modified Racing Series alongside the Monaco Modified Series.

Each Race of Champions Modified Series event, Monaco Modified Series event, and now each Modified Racing Series event will serve as a “Qualifying” race for the 2025 Race of Champions 150, scheduled for Saturday, October 11 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in Thompson, Connecticut.

Winners of designated “Qualifying” events will earn a provisional starting position for the Race of Champions 150—provided the driver and team officially enter, participate in practice, and attempt to qualify for the prestigious October showdown.

The 2025 program began with Matt Hirschman of Northampton, PA, who won the Richie Evans Memorial at New Smyrna Speedway in Samsula, FL on Friday, February 14.

To date, the following drivers have officially “Punched Their Ticket to Thompson”:

        * Matt Hirschman – Northampton, PA

        * Ron Silk – Norwalk, CT

        * Austin Beers – Northampton, PA

        * Jack Ely – Northampton, PA

        * Jake Johnson – Rehoboth, MA

“The program has great energy, and we are thrilled to add the Modified Racing Series,” stated Joe Skotnicki, Race of Champions. “We look forward to seeing this initiative continue to grow, as well as our collaborative efforts with the Monaco Modified Series and the Modified Racing Series. Their participation is greatly appreciated.”

The next qualifying opportunity for the Modified Racing Series will be Friday, June 13, at Claremont Motorsports Park in Claremont, NH.
