Street Stock- Feature

Travis Hydar wins his fourth Street Stock Feature race in a row at Stafford Speedway.
Another exciting street stock race to say the least. Marvin Minkler started on the pole and quickly the 84 of Bert Ouellette got the lead and would stay in the lead until the caution came out on lap 15 when the 69 of Bill Cote spun in turn 1. We will restart with 5 laps to go and Brandon Warren will get to the lead with Oulette and Travis Hydar battling for the 2nd position. But not for long when the caution came out again on lap 19 for Trott and Downey getting together on turn 3 which ended both of their days (Downey had a right front tire and Trott was put on the wrecker).
Travis Hydar really knows how to get around traffic, he started the race 10th and for the first 11 laps he didn’t make any headway for the first 11 laps. Then at lap 12, it’s like his car turns a switch and just bulldozes the field, it’s insane watching him go by the cars one by one like they are standing still.
Bert Ouellette gets an impressive 2nd place finish. He led the first 15 laps until the first caution and his car looked very dominant but just couldn’t keep the very fast Hydar behind him.
For the 5th time this season, Jeff Asselin finished 3rd in the race. He has had a really good car and some really good luck this season. Asselin is really starting to turn heads because of his impressive runs this season after last season where he didn’t have a very good run last year.

Late Model-Feature
Adam Gray wins the late model feature race after a very rough start to the season so this win is a huge sigh of relief and a big confidence boost for Gray.
PJ Zarrella started on the pole for the race but, Alexandra Fearn was quick to get the lead and took off like a rocket, she was getting away from everyone. On lap 5 the 79 of Keane spun in turn 4 and had heavy damage to the front of his car (came down pit road a couple of times and then eventually was down for the night). Wayne Coury Jr also came down pit road also getting damage from making contact with Keane but would come back out onto the track. Coury Jr. went back to racing and made some big moves going from the back to getting up to 8th at one point but then came back onto pit road and would be done for the night.
When we went back green there was almost a big crash when the 4 of Butler got loose and everyone else missed him by inches.
On lap 16 Tom Fearn got the lead and Alexandra Fearn was in 2nd and the 97 of Gray had gotten up to 3rd place. He was moving through the pack very fast and closing in on the both Fearn drivers in 1st and 2nd. On lap 23 Tom Fearn and Adam Gray were both battling for the lead and were battling for the last couple of laps. Gray would finally get the lead from Tom Fearn after Tom got loose. There was a good battle behind Tom Fearn and Gray which was Alexandra Fearn and Paul Varricchio Jr, Varricchio would eventually go by Alexandra Fearn for the 3rd position. With the final couple of laps Gray would lead, Tom Fearn in 2nd, Varricchio Jr was 3rd and Kevin Gambacorta would grab 4th away from Alexandra Fearn who would round out the top 5.

Sk Modified- Feature
Michael Christopher Jr. wins the SK modified race. He started the race in 12th place and was rooting through the field. The beginning of the race was very exciting with the battle of Keith Rocco and Wesley Prucker. Prucker turned a lot of heads in the beginning of the race competing for the lead with Keith Rocco and battling side by side with him, not letting Rocco get past him. On lap 6 there was a caution for the 5 of R.J Marcotte, the 96 of Curt Brainard, and the 51 of Ethan Durocher who would get together. The 24 of Mikey Flynn would be done early and pulled off to pit road. Going back racing, Prucker and Rocco will go back battling for the lead while Rufrano and Molleur would be battling side by side for 3rd position. Prucker would get the lead and Rufrano would be in 2nd going after Prucker for the lead. Great battles on the track throughout the whole field, by lap 14, Rufrano was leading, the 25 of Anthony Flannery came out of nowhere and got 2nd with Christopher Jr. in 3rd place.
On lap 16 Prucker got into the wall on the backstretch and would be done for the night. After the restart the 88,25,and 82 would continue to battle with each other for the lead,2nd and 3rd position. It was probably the best battle on track for the last 10 or so laps.
On lap 32 the 81 of Todd Owen would be done for the night after coming on pit road. After the 82 of Christopher Jr. took the lead he eventually pulled away from the other 2 drivers. The 88 of Rufrano and 25 of Flannery were still battling for the 2nd position and Flannery was trying to get underneath Rufrano but he just couldn’t get around the 88.

Limited Late Model-Feature
Rich Hammann wins the Riley Generator 30 lap feature at Stafford Speedway. Hammann started the race 10th and definitely came up the field fast.
Jeremy Lavoie started the race on the pole for the feature and had a fantastic race, we had a caution that stacked the field up again on lap 9 where the 79 spun. On the restart Lavoie would get the lead and we had a battle behind him with Surdell and Patnode for 2nd place. Patnode would get 2nd place, on lap 14, Rich Hammann would be up to 5th from starting the race in 10th. Half way through the race, Patnode would begin to catch Lavoie but Surdell was surgically attached to the bumper of Patnode not letting him out of his sight. Hammann in 4th was catching the 83 of Surdell and 22 of Patnode and was coming quickly, he was the fastest car on the track at the point. With 10 to go the 17 of Ari Jenick spun in turn 1, on the restart Lavoie would get the jump for the lead again while Hammann would get up to the 2nd position. On lap 26 the 22 of Patnode and the 74 of Matthew Winter got together in the middle of the pack and the 74 spun in turn 4. Patnode would get black flagged for spinning Winter and the 74 of Winter would get parked for getting back at Patnode.
Going back to green, Lavoie got the jump but Hammann was quick to stay with Lavoie and then Hammann would go side by side with Lavoie and Rich would get the lead from Jeremy. Hammann would pull away and be too quick for Lavoie to catch him. Hammann would get his 2nd win of the season, Jeremy would get 2nd place, and Surdell would get 3rd place.

Sk Light Modified- Feature
Alexander Pearl wins the Sk light Modified race. This is Alexander’s first win in 2 years and definitely deserves that win. The race was crazy from start to finish and there were lots of cautions for multiple-car pile ups. On lap 2 the 88 of Frank L’Etoile Jr., the 82 of Paul Arute and another car that pulled away from the pile up. On the restart Bloxsom III would get the lead and the 12 of Viens would try and get by Bloxsom but Viens and Anderson would get together and cause another big pile up in between turn 3 and 4. There was a total of 12 cars included the 75 of Casey Vogt, the 31 of Carsten Cole, the 87 of Joey Ferrigno, the 35 of Josh Morrision and the 45 of Ed Chicoski would be out of the race, the other cars in the pile up would be able to drive away. On the restart the 44 of Jason Chapman and the 23 of Bloxsom III were battling and the 23 dive bombed the 44 and Chapman would spin and collect drivers like the 16 of Hovey, 15 of West, 1 of Charland, and the 50 of Bennett. The 44, 12, and 15 would be the only ones to pull away. On lap 7 the 7 of Alexander Pearl would lead with the 41 of Tyler Chapman having a problem and Chapman would be done for the night. On lap 12 Pearl would lead and Meghan Fuller would have an amazing comeback and be in 2nd place. Pearl would win, Fuller would finish 2nd, and Ron Midford Jr. would have a great run and finish 3rd.
